Turn a Dam into a Water-park with the Wibit Sports Park 60

With temperatures soon rising, sometimes “staying cool” is a physical act as opposed to a state of mind. With the Wibit Sports Park 60, a rather mundane Dam can be transformed into an elaborate waterpark. The inflatable structure boasts obstacles that include a curved bridge, cliff, slide, mini-pond, long jump and high jump areas, trampoline, swing and action tower. Measuring 131 x 105 x 9 ft., this floating paradise should provide endless hours of entertainment!

Handcrafted African Bamboo Road Bikes

German bicycle manufacturer zuri is a company that specializes in building handcrafted road bikes in africa out of locally harvested bamboo. The brand is dedicated to provide a sustainable, unique and stylish form of transportation for the new urban generation. With production based out of africa, they have teamed up with experienced bamboo frame builders zambikes, to focus on creating new jobs and opening opportunities for local production in zambia. The management practices of Zuri implement fair and honest paying wages that in turn create positive social and working conditions. With four models tailored to different cyclist demographics, each frame undertakes a tedious harvesting and drying process that can last from two to three years. The selection of a slow growing bamboo species results in high density and surface hardness, maintaining the ability to become fully water impermeable, waterproof and imperishable against chemicals and fire. The tensile strength and fracture stability of bamboo partially exceeds that of common construction steel – while having a superior load capacity-to-weight ratio. The material has an extremely flexible and cross aligned fiber structure similar to carbon that ultimately prevents an immediate failure of a tube.

What an amazing concept, love companies like this.

The First Glow In The Dark SkatePark

Skating at night is lots of fun, but most of the time a bit of a pain. No matter how much light there is, you still find the occasional black spots. Artist Koo Jeong-A apparently wanted to find a solution for the problem and presents the first ever entirely glow in the dark skate park, entitled OTRO. Located in Brussels, the entire skate park is built from green phosphorescent concrete, and features different bowls, a cradle, and three separate tunnels to skate through. What a cool idea.

The iRig MIX

There are a lot of good/great DJ apps for iOS, but if you’re ready to graduate to physical control over your mixes, the iRig Mix ($100) is a good place to start. This lightweight, portable box offers crossfader, cue, EQ, and volume controls, can be used with a single iOS device or in a more traditional two device setup, and also offers an extra guitar/mic input, standard RCA outputs for direct connection to PAs or powered speakers, and, of course, a headphone output for master or cue monitoring.

Monopoly The Godfather Edition Board Game

Monopoly Godfather Edition brings the world of the Corleone family to the classic board game, with destinations such as Moe Greene’s casino, Woltz Mansion, and the Corleone Lake Tahoe Estate serving as properties, Friends and Enemies taking the place of Chance and Community Chess, and iconic props such as cannoli, olive oil can, and horse head serving as game tokens. On second thought, maybe it does make sense — it takes about as long to finish a game as it does to finish all three films.
