Inspired by the TV Series about the Dothraki, a race of nomadic warriors, Game of Thrones, the mad scientist at PornBurger has created The Kaleesi Burger.
Khaleesi is a Dothraki title referring to the wife of the khal.
“Moon of my Stars”… “Mother of Dragons”… Call this smoldering dinosaur kale burger what you will, just don’t call it weak. Smokey morsels of crisped shiitake “bacon,” crown a regal beet gratin, smothered in Red Dragon cheese on top of a crunchy, berberre-rubbed kale patty, heirloom tomato, and slathering of sumac aioli.”
Looks so good, somebody make it for me pleaseeee!!!
It’s hardly a secret that we have a bit of a taste for bacon — call it an obsession if you want. So, we were pretty excited when we found out that the mad culinary scientists at the Baconery had combined the awesomeness of bacon, the deliciousness of chocolate, and the luxury of gold to make 23k Gold Chocolate Bacon (R380). It’s made with Nueske’s Cherrywood Bacon, Guittard Semi-Sweet Dark Chocolate, and 23k edible gold flakes. Put it on a sandwich, eat it with your eggs, we don’t care. Just don’t let it go to waste.
If it sounds weird, that’s because it is. Salt Made From Tears (R400) are a collection of salts supposedly made with fresh human tears — tears produced by Anger, Chopping Onions, Sneezing, Laughter, and Sorrow, specifically — that are gently boiled, released into crystallization tanks, harvested, and rinsed in brine. Available in individual containers or as a full set.
It seems pretty obvious, but Hawaii seems to be the only place to go during winter. The general attire for girls all year round is a skimpy bikini. Check out this ‘cheeky’ video filmed in Maui…
Maui it is..
In case you didn’t know, Frank Sinatra was known to drink Jack Daniel’s. A lot of Jack Daniel’s. Now Jack is returning the favour by honouring the man who was such a loyal fan.Jack Daniel’s Sinatra Select (TBA) arrives at 90 proof inside a specially-designed one-litre bottle and gift box that both feature accents of orange — Frank’s favourite colour — and a distinct “hat” logo. The whiskey is made from barrels that are hand-selected by Master Distiller Jeff Arnett for a fuller flavor and darker colour, then mingled with classic Old No. 7 to result in a drink with a smooth, bold character — just like the man himself.
Believe it or not, beer used to come in cans that required you to put in a bit of work before you could enjoy their hoppy essence. Churchkey Beer (TBA) is looking to bring that experience back with a flavourful, golden Pilsner that comes in a flat-top can — leaving you only one way to get the sudsy goodness out. Extra points for friends that have a churchkey on hand without you warning them first. Check out this short clip of how to OPEN a beer.
Cannot wait to get our hands on this tastiness..

Okay, so it’s not really bacon — it’s vegan, and therefore simply bacon-flavored — but it is perfect for adding a bit of smokey depth to fried or sautéd foods, or for dunking sandwiches or fine artisan breads. Especially if the sandwich already has bacon on it….. Mmmm …. Bacon.
